Beyond our two major concerts each year, the DYO has embarked on a series of special side projects. This page is dedicated to recording the history of these unique performances.
21st & 22nd June 2024 – DYO performed for the Dunedin Midwinter Carnival.
Venue: First Church
15th & 16th March 2019 – DYO played for the Emerging Fashion Awards at the iD Fashion Show and recorded songs performed at the event by Anthonie Tonnon and the Julian Temple Band. Read more and listen to a track here.

7th October 2018 – DYO performs with Rainbow Rosalind in her concert Rainbow Rosalind Meets the Orchestra.

29th September 2018 – DYO performs with Rhian Sheehan at the Dunedin Arts Festival.

18th May 2018 – In Blue Concert: DYO performs Rhapsody in Blue, featuring DYJO and Dunedin High School Jazz bands.
Venue: Hanover Hall
1st April 2018 – DYO performance at the Band Stand, Botanical Gardens, conducted by Nathaniel Otley. In conjunction with the DCC for the Dunedin Ed Sheeran Festival.

17th March 2018 – Peter and the Wolf performance at the Public Library as part of the Fringe Festival’s Around the World in 80 Days event.

15th September 2017 – Romantic Underground, in conjunction with Urban Dream Brokerage.
Venue: Underground Market, 171 George Street, Dunedin
